My understanding is that there are cameras in there, and access is pretty tightly controlled under normal circumstances. Hopefully they figure out exactly who did it and give them a lifetime ban from NASCAR.

This guy’s still in the news as of a few months ago. Before that there was this guy:
And apparently a not insignificant amount of them do turn out to be hoaxes, enough so that being skeptical about it is warranted. Not that it shouldn’t be investigated, but if there are cameras, they’ll figure it out quick enough. Until then, I’ll wait for the rest of the story.

Here the thing about cameras that you may be unfamiliar with. If you cover your face, say by wearing a mask, it makes it hard to tell who you are.
That’s probably why it’s taken more than five seconds to figure out who did it.
But I’m sure you already out lots of thought into that...

It’s a controlled garage, there’s not a whole lot of people that have access. Are you suggesting that whoever did it had the foresight to change into some completely nondescript clothes with a mask they’ve never worn before to remove anything that could be traced back to them? All that effort, planning,
and thought to accomplish exactly what? I’d think they’d be too busy getting ready for the race that to plot the perfect crime. Maybe they snuck in some kid off the street to do it, and trusted
they’d keep their mouth shut.

How about that, another shocker, different parts of the country are different. My state governor seized all shipments of disposable surgical masks in March/April, couldn’t get them anywhere. Only a few hours from NYC, anything that’s used in hospitals has been in short supply. Also, not seeing a ton (or any?) disposable surgical masks here:

Weird, my family in New York and New Jersey all have disposable surgical masks. Not too many people wearing customized masks. Also, that looks to be a mass produced mask that anyone can buy.

I insinuated nothing, the OP was annoyed that there were people who didn’t believe it was real, I pointed out that there’s a track record there, and all of the recent high profile events turned out to actually be hoaxes, so of course people will be skeptical. I said with the cameras
we’d find out soon enough, and guess what, we did. Turns out your mask argument was moot, since there was nobody to even identify.
You also seemed to think everybody is walking around n the same generic surgical mask, and that makes them unidentifiable. It was a fucking closed event, attended by the people in the picture, which if you’ll note, are both identifiable, and not wearing the same, generic surgical mask.
Yes, people can get surgical masks now, it is no longer March/April when the government was seizing them, panic has subsided, and most have cloth masks. You asked what disneyland I lived in that most people didn’t have the same mask, and still couldn’t accept that most people aren’t wearing generic surgical masks even when presented with photographic proof of it. If a NASCAR event’s not enough proof that most aren’t wearing the same mask, how about the recent protests?
In the first half of the picture, I see 5 surgical masks, 12 non-surgical, or just over a quarter. Looks like the second half is more cloth-heavy, but I’m not counting them.
You really need to read the words that are written and think how they relate to the event being discussed
before you start building strawmen.
